In this study, we will unpack both who Jesus is and why that matters for us. If Jesus is our healer, what does that mean for our pain? If Jesus is the risen Lord, what does that mean for our sin and suffering? If Jesus is God’s Son, what does that mean for our own sonship? Fundamentally, the reason this study matters for our students is because it is all about knowing Jesus, and knowing Jesus changes everything. In following Paul’s example, we, too, should seek to know nothing among our students but Christ and Him crucified (1 Cor 2:2), so that their faith may not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power (1 Cor 2:5). We can come up with the best studies, sermons, and small group times, but ultimately, it is only by knowing Jesus that our students will be changed.
