Hope this Helps: Advent Devotionals

Share:

We’re doing a special blast of HTH (Hope this Helps) posts this Christmas season. May these resources be a blessing to you in your ministry!

It’s not too late to start an Advent Devotional! Advent is a season where we intentionally pursue a hope and longing for Jesus’s second coming, while we look back at his first coming to us as a baby in a manger. I highly recommend both John Piper’s Free Advent Devotional: The Dawning of Indestructible Joy, and The Village Church’s Devotional (geared for Families): The Village Church Advent Guide.

Piper’s is a daily devotional. It’s deep, Christ-exalting, and both encouraging and convicting. The Village Church’s is a weekly devotional that’s geared towards engaging your entire family in the Advent season. It’s worth checking out just for the Appendices with lots of extra resources and ideas for your family.

Hope this helps!
