Rooted 2020 Parenting Book Awards
In spite of 2020’s overall lack of fun, we can celebrate the fact that lots of us had more time to read … and there was a bumper crop of good books! We’d love to hear what some of your favorites were. Take a peek at the categories on our form below and nominate some good reads for parents to share on our blog. Please include the title and the author and restrict your nominations to books published during the calendar year 2020. ALL RESPONSES ARE DUE NOVEMBER 23.
Just to give you some ideas, here are the winners from 2019 (categories are slightly different this year):
Best New Parenting Book: Risen Motherhood: Gospel Hope for Everyday Moments by Emily Jensen and Laura Wifler (review here)
Best New Book for Moms: Sufficient Hope: Gospel Meditations and Prayers for Moms by Christina Fox (review here and Rooted article by the author here)
Best Book on Culture: Seculosity: How Career, Parenting, Technology, Food, Politics, and Romance Became Our New Religion and What to Do about It by David Zahl. (Rooted review here).
Results will be posted on the blog in early January. In the meantime, we can take heart – after all our quiet time at home, there were surely many good books written this year that will challenge and encourage us for years to come!
